A TRADITION FROM CHINA
Before the reading: what is Chinese Four Pillars?
Four Pillars, also known as BaZi, is a traditional Chinese system of interpreting a birth chart from the year, month, day and hour of birth. Those four moments are written with the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, forming the “eight characters” from which the name BaZi comes.
Its roots are commonly traced to early Chinese calendrical and fate-calculation traditions, with important development through the Tang and later periods. Rather than using a single sign, Four Pillars looks at how several parts of the chart interact with one another.
Traditionally, people have used this system to reflect on temperament, work, money, relationships, study, major life phases and periods of change. The purpose of this site is not to present those ideas as scientific fact, but to let you experience this part of Chinese cultural tradition in clear modern language.
Your reading begins with your actual birth information. The chart is calculated first; the interpretation comes after.
